We are on the hunt for some one to work closely with the Warehouse Manager on a variety of stock/warehouse related duties and drive a Luton Van to pick up/collect stock (not multi-drop). You will need a full UK driving licence and be aged over 21 for vehicle insurance purposes. Other than that no previous experience needed apart from being super reliable, happy to turn your hand to practical tasks, be comfortable on your feet and carrying out some heavy lifting.
Salary £26-28K depending on experience
Key responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative/Driver include,
- Unloading and loading goods in timely manner
- Loading vans of various furniture or other items
- Checking kit before it goes out to events/client sites
- Driving to site to deliver/ collect/ set up some elements (London and outside of London)
- Physically lifting heavy equipment/stock
- DYI work on kit during winter months
The ideal Warehouse Operative/Driver will need the following,
- Valid UK driving license essential
- Previous experience of driving a Luton van useful
- Be comfortable being on your feet and with heavy lifting
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
- Have a willingness to learn and develop
- A valid forklift licence useful but not essential
Hours 8am-4.30pm
Overtime available during summer (May-July) weekend work available
