***MAINTENANCE ENGINEER***
We have an immediate opening for a skilled (electrical bias) Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance on identified plant equipment. You will need a City and Guilds 2330 and/or an NVQ electrical installation qualification, 17th Edition wiring regulations along with knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Salary c.£40K depending on experience + benefits
Key responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer include,
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines
- Fault find problems by observing machinery in operation
- React to production breakdowns quickly ensuring all relevant personnel are aware of the machine status
- Assist other departments when required to ensure Production requirements are met
- Using Mechanical and electrical Knowledge, assist in the design and manufacture/fabrication of Jigs and fixtures to aid Production
- Fabricate repair parts and date stamps by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
- Ensure that annual contracts are renewed and carried out by all contractors
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
The ideal Maintenance Engineer will need the following,
- City and Guilds 2330 – electrical installation
- NVQ Electrical Installation
- 17th BS7671:2008
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience with ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar are essential
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills English oral & written
- Good analytical, planning and organisational skills
