An immediate opportunity has landed for a Payroll Administrator with a keen eye for detail and exceptional customer service skills to join a busy and highly successful recruitment agency. The purpose of the Payroll Administrator is to take full responsibility for processing timesheets for approximately 400-600 temporary staff who are paid on a weekly basis. This role would suit someone from a recruitment or Umbrella background or a fast-paced environment where you have had to take responsibility for all aspects of running a large payroll from start to finish.

Salary £26K + Free parking

Key responsibilities for the Payroll Administrator include;

  • Collating timesheets from the previous week
  • Corresponding with our Temporary staff with regards to timesheets and payroll procedures
  • Chasing clients for the timesheets and working in conjunction with our temporary staff
  • Entering hours onto our database timesheet system
  • Reconciling invoices with purchase order number
  • Understanding Tax Codes, New Starters, Pension, P45 procedures
  • Dealing with payroll queries in an efficient manner
  • Setting up new candidate account information

The ideal Payroll Administrator will need;

  • Previous payroll/timesheet experience ideally within recruitment or Umbrella preferred but not essential
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight weekly deadlines
  • Confident verbal/written communication and numeracy skills are a must
