Finance Administrator
***FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR***
We are on the hunt for a permanent full-time Finance Administrator with a some previous experience and good all-round knowledge of accounting to join our clients. This is a brand new varied role within the Accounts department which means lots of scope for development for the right candidate along with full training in all aspects of the role. The purpose of the role is to assist the finance department in all day to day transactions primarily taking responsibility for the purchase ledger.
Salary £23-25K depending on experience + excellent benefits
Key responsibilities for the Finance Administrator include,
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes, paying particular attention to haulier invoicing.
- Post and monitor utility invoices and costs
- To maintain a non-stock purchase spread sheet
- Process petty cash
- Check purchase statements
- Run purchase ledger aged debtors report and prepare purchase invoices for payment
- Process credit card transactions and expenses
- Send out remittances
- Filing
The Finance Administrator will also get involved in assisting during holiday cover with duties such as,
- Processing sales invoices and credit notes
- Sending out statements to customers
- Credit Control including daily updates on the system, telephone calls, sorting out customer queries, sending emails and statements
- Preparing weekly credit control reports
- Setting up of new customer accounts on SAP
The ideal Finance Administrator will need the following,
- A good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles preferred
- Prior use of SAP would be advantageous
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent mathematical/English abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
This role could suit newly qualified person or recent graduate looking to develop their skills within accounts or you could be a work returner.
Hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
