Area Sales Executive
***AREA SALES EXECUTIVE***
Due to increased business demands we are on the hunt for a pro-active and driven Area Sales Executive to cover the Southern UK territory. Working within a Civil Engineering related company the purpose of the the role will be to establish plans and strategies to expand the customer territory of a range of highways related products within Local Authorities, Civil Aviation, MOD and other relevant bodies.
Some previous office based sales experience useful but a customer focused personality along with a desire and hunger to succeed are more important. Full training will be given.
Salary c.£30K depending on experience + uncapped OTE paid monthly, company car, company credit card, generous travel expenses
Key responsibilities for the Area Sales Executive include,
- Develop and implement an annual sales strategy
- Prepare weekly action plans for effective search of leads and prospects
- Regularly prepare specification forecasts for focus across the business
- Update and maintain all customer details on the CRM system
- Organisation of specification presentations to potential clients
- Managing specification accounts and building relationships with key personnel
- Arrange & attend meeting with decision makers
- Taking decision makers out to site to see company operations being performed
- Attend sites to meet engineers
- Networking with relevant parties to secure extensive and ongoing business opportunities
- Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by national accounts
The ideal Area Sales Executive will need,
- Some previous office/field based sales experience
- Driven, pro-active personality with an appetite for selling and a desire to learn
- Be well-presented with excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Full clean UK driving licence essential
- Enjoy building strong customer relationships
- Flexibility to travel within the South of the UK and occasionally stay away from home when necessary
This role may suit a graduate who’s completed a Civil Engineering (or similar) degree (or equivalent) and wants to get into sales or anyone who ticks the criteria above who wants to hone their sales skills within a highly regarded organisation.
